Cheap Flights to Algiers

Situated on the banks of the Mediterranean Sea, Algiers is a placid city possessing a rich history and culture dated from the Phoenician times. In spite of having a bag full of the violent past, the city has a lot to offer to its guests and is one of the most exciting travel destinations even for intrepid travellers. Apart from business travellers, people fly to Algiers to grab opportunities to experience the Northern Algiers culture - as compared to the likes of Tangiers and Marrakech, it remains relatively diluted by tourism. Eye-pleasing natural scenery and great architecture are the key attractions of the city which have been modified by various cultures over centuries, including Ottomans, Romans and French. The UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Kasbah is the most famous attraction in Algiers - it is a live time capsule that teleports people to the 16th century through its offerings.
Most of the visitors explore the city by wandering the narrow streets or by just sitting in any of the various cafes and restaurants offering lip-smacking lamb dishes along with Algerian coffee. Feel spiritual while praying in the Great Mosque of Algiers nestled in the Kasbah. Undoubtedly, it is one of the oldest mosques and its minarets are said to be built in the early 1300s. Stepping out of the Kasbah, you will come across Notre Dame d’Afrique showering the French influences on the city - it is another famed tourist spot. Since its inception in 1872, Catholics have been worshipping here. Note that, a trip to Algiers can feel a little bit heavy on your pockets during famous festivals and holidays, including Muslim Holidays and Independence Day on 5th July.
