Founded in 1927, Iberia is the national airline of Spain. It is based in the capital city of Madrid, and operates an extensive network of domestic as well as international flights from its main base at Madrid-Barajas Airport. Iberia had codeshare agreements with many prominent airlines which include, among others, American Airlines, British Airways, Finnair, Japan Airlines, Qatar Airways and Vueling. It is a member of Oneworld airline alliance and uses Iberia Plus as its frequent flyer program to reward passengers with flying points and special services at specific airports.
