If you are planning to take a trip abroad, you must be prepared with a few simple steps that you need to take so that you have a trouble-free trip. These include:

  • Thorough research of the place that you are visiting before your departure date. You should make yourself aware of all the local laws and customs of the country of visit.

  • According to your fitness quotient and your age, you must purchase travel insurance and with that ensure that it covers you from all the activities and adventures that you are planning to do during your visit including activities and skiing.   • If your plan is to travel in the European Economic Area or Switzerland, you can avail a free EHIC which provides you with free emergency care or care at a subsidized cost.   • Please make sure that your passport stands valid for the entire duration of the visit. For certain countries, the validity must be for at least 6 months from the end visiting date. Additionally, ensure that you have all the important visa documents that you may require and transit visas as well.
  • We advise you that you do not risk anything with the laws of a foreign country as that may lead to you spending years in prison in a country abroad. Most of these countries have zero tolerance policy with reference to offences related to drugs or its use in any manner.
  • All the money that you are carrying must suffice for any case of an emergency and you must not store it at one place, instead evenly distribute it in your luggage at different places.
  • You must keep your passport safely at all times in a foreign land. With that, also have a photocopy of the same and leave one copy of the same at home with your friends or family.
  • Make sure that your family knows your whereabouts and have an idea about your stay while you are travelling. Also, make sure that you leave emergency contact numbers also with them.
  • If driving abroad, carry a valid driving license and know all the driving laws thoroughly and ensure that you follow them.
